Anindita Bose Art x TBP

We’re so excited to launch our Anindita Bose Art x The Burlap People tote.

Anindita is an actor and artist living between Bombay and Calcutta. Her illustrations use themes of vibrancy and female celebration, and exemplify attention to detail.
As proud Calcuttans this collaboration is a perfect fit; we see it as an homage to Calcutta - of nostalgia and rumination, of day dreaming and sentimentality, and of slow-living and wonder.
The majesty of the krishnachura flowers, bright colours that represent the spirit of the city, and a relaxed woman who in Anindita’s words, “ is a celebration of self acceptance despite her imperfections” all stand as symbols for the buoyancy of this wild and wonderful city.
These totes have been meticulously crafted using heavy-duty 14 ounce recycled cotton canvas.
They’ve been hand-screen printed using techniques that have been passed down for thousands of years. Each tote comes with an:
  - Internal bottle holder pocket.
  - Internal zipper pocket to secure valuables.
  - External pocket on the outside for easy access.
  - Top zipper closure for added security.
